Electrical Engineer

Develop relay settings for protection systems and reviews relay actions to determine if the protection systems work properly. Design, implement and commission major portions of, tor a completely new protection and control system for a substation. Serve as technical expert on systems protection and metering issues. Serve as Subject Matter Expert for NERC, WECC/MRO, and CIP compliance standards related to protection and control systems. In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants MUST have specialized experience at the next lower grade level to qualify. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Experience in transmission system protection (up to 500kV) and arc-flash protection (600V and below). Experience in applying NERC, WECC, and CIP reliability standards as they relate to maintenance activities in the electric utility industry. Demonstrated expertise in advanced engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards and methods for a wide range of power systems equipment used in the electric utility industry. Knowledge of the interrelationships of design, construction and operation of facilities and their associated planning, design maintenance, repair, and construction activities. Knowledge of operation and maintenance practices associated with major electrical apparatus, protective relays, and outdoor substation equipment, metering equipment and communication systems. Served as a Project Engineer and/or demonstrated technical expertise on system protection and metering issues. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
