Hydroelectric Power Plant Operator Relief, Senior, BB-5407-00 (MPP)(FR)
The Senior Control Operator is in charge and responsible for the safety and operation of all project facilities during other than normal working hours and when project management is absent. May be subject to changes to schedule with short notice and be required to work different schedules during a normal pay period.-Acts as an Operations supervisor, authorizing and coordinating maintenance activities; this includes authorizing and issuing Clearances, Hot Line Orders, Special Conditions, Operational Configuration Management, and Interconnected System Clearances.-Administers operational tests on electrical and mechanical equipment.-Evaluates and analyzes operating interruptions and diagnoses cause.-Mitigates actual or potential damage to facilities and threats to personal safety during emergency situations.-Provides technical direction to Control Operators by way of example and direct instruction. Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of job elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.
