Power System Dispatcher

Takes prompt and appropriate actions to maintain strict compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Standards of Conduct.
Continually monitors generation and timeline data and, when necessary adjusts generation levels or takes and/or directs appropriate action to meet interchange, load, and reserve requirements.
Monitors power system equipment, ensuring public safety and proper operation within equipment capabilities.
Initiates or directs timely and appropriate real-time actions during normal and emergency conditions to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the BES and lower voltage systems while taking corrective action, as required to achieve or maintain these limitations; including re-dispatch of generation, cancellation of planned generation and transmission outages without prior supervisory approval.
Performs real-time and next day system studies to determine system impacts of possible contingencies, and determines mitigation of possible operating conditions.
Utilizes SCADA/Energy Management System (EMS) and other advanced computer networks and applications to control, record, modify parameters, verify, and analyze BES and lower voltage systems operational data.
Work is performed in an office setting.
The position is in a continuous operation control center, requiring the incumbent work up to 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Occasional field trips will be required to various BES and lower voltage system facilities and training classes.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
This experience is progressively responsible and concerned primarily with system operations of a large power system (100-kV or above).
Specialized Experience Requirements for the AD-4 LevelTo qualify for the AD-4 level, you must have 1 year of:
1) Power system operator experience, equivalent to the AD-3 level, with centralized SCADA/EMS control and decision-making responsibilities to maintain adherence to NERC reliability standards of a power system with 100-kV or higher voltage transmission lines, substations, and interconnections to other utilities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
