One year of specialized experience which includes reading, interpreting, clarifying and/or enforcing construction plans and specifications; providing field measurements, computations and first-hand information of site conditions; documenting daily construction activities; and/or assisting in the preparation of cost estimates. . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR I have successfully completed one full academic year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or another closely related field of study. Specialized Experience GS-8:
One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the review and interpretation of construction project plans, drawings and specifications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR You have successfully completed one and a half full academic year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or another closely related field of study. Specialized Experience GS-9:
One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the review and interpretation of construction project plans, drawings and specifications; identifying and recommending corrections to deficiencies for construction and modification projects and developing technical requirements and specifications for construction and modification projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). OR Education:
Two years graduate level education course of study (if determination from your school cannot be made this is typically identified as 36 semester hours in any combination of courses such as drafting, surveying, mathematics, physical science, industrial technology, industrial arts, or technical subjects pertinent to construction; or engineering technician work such as electricity, material testing, or engineering mechanics) or more of graduate level education at an accredited college or university in Construction Management or in a field directly related. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience GS-10:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which interpreting construction project plans, drawings and specifications; correcting deficiencies for construction and modification projects; AND experience performing quality control duties during medium to large construction projects. Specialized Experience GS-11:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes coordinating and planning construction methods and procedures with contractor personnel; evaluating construction projects for compliance with plans and specification; inspecting construction work sites and work in progress for; AND performing quality control duties on large, moderate to complex, renovation and new construction projects. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07, GS-8, GS-9, GS-10, and GS-11).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
