Waxing Technician 3078
Your duties will include:
Checking margins on the dies before starting the case (die spacer if needed)
Consulting Dept Manager if unclear about a prescription before starting case
Reading prescription and Hi-light all key information
Trimming margins on back up model for verification
Checking margins on extra single die
Checking clearance before starting case if insufficient clearance informs manager
Waxing up crowns
Investing wax ups
Finishing metal
Polishing crowns or bridges
Checking margins and contacts on back up model when completed
Check occlusion on master
Making stumps according to RX and photos
Steam cleaning all models when case is ready for the porcelain dept
Assuming other duties as may be assigned by management.
Ensuring all cases are completed each day.
Duties may include any one of the above to a combination up to and including all of the above steps in the process.

Education Requirements:
Training from a recognized Dental Technicians College and/or apprentice training in a Waxing Department and subsequently being able to exhibit proficiency.
Computer Skills Required:
Computer literate
