Cinder Solutions is excited to announce a new opening for a Software Engineer for one of our direct clients in Folsom, CA. This is a full time, 40 an hour a week position that offers a full competitive benefits package which includes PTO and Healthcare coverage.
Job Description:
Our client is searching for development and support of software automation environment in support of the clients' firmware continuous integration testing.
Python is the primarily development language (need someone with high level of expertise in Python), but experience with SQL (MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server), and web development are desirable.
Engineer will be part of an Agile Scrum team working on a bi-weekly sprint cadence.
Responsibilities:
- Development to requirements/acceptance criteria, unit-level testing to ensure proper functionality, and debug/support for software developed.
- Develop computationally efficient feature extraction algorithms
- Develop algorithms to select the optimal set of features
Education Level:
A Bachelors' or Masters' degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Required Skills:
- Hardware knowledge (network/server/storage) is also desirable. Experience with Linux is a plus.
- Understanding of basic data structures and algorithms used in machine learning
- Experience developing Machine Learning algorithms
- Proficient in intermediate level statistics
- Experience with digital signal processing techniques
- Experience programming with C and/or python
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
- Matlab experience
- Strong Proficiency in: Python and Core Libraries: Pandas, Scikit-Learn, MatplotLib, IPython Notebook, etc.
- Industrial experience in machine learning a big plus.
